'The
Stud Fixings Leak Ice Cream when removed'
A
rumour probably started by one of several pathetic individuals who are
copying the Ripple Juicer and who hope to bring the genuine Rainbow Ripple
Juicer into disrepute by spreading lies!
The studs used to fix the nozzle on Van Uno and Twin machines are machined
into the solid plastic of the dispensing head. These are computer machined
blind holes - that is they don't go all the way through the plastic!
Not
exactly 'Rocket Science' for most Engineers!
|
 |
|
Shown
right is an extract from the drawings from which the Computer controlled
machine drills the holes for the studs. The depth is 2 diameters of 6mm
- that is 12mm or half an inch. Measure your own faceplate to check -
does it leak?
It
is impossible for ice cream to leak from these holes when the studs are
taken out.
Click the graphic to see how this is done!

The moral - clean it regularly as you would your ice cream machine
- read the instructions!
The same goes for ice cream deposits in the nozzle -
Clean them out regularly!
Don't use thick juice - Rainbow Ripple Juice has been specially made in
the past by Forrester Wood & Co of Oldham, a industry known

'The
Ripple Juicer leaks juice'
Yes - the Ripple Juicer will leak juice!
This is because it has not been positioned correctly.
If the juice bottles are higher than the nozzle then it will leak!
We have known customers to park their van on a steep slope - Water (and
juice) will run downhill
The moral - read the instructions and set the Juicer up correctly
See the pictures for perfect set up!
Don't
use thin juice

Some
copies of the Ripple Juicer are not food safe as they contain cheap windscreen
washer pumps. Pumps & pneumatics using metals such as nickel & brass
will dissolve into the juice and are dangerous - Ask the Manufacturers!
